Summary of Position:
Performs delegated direct care functions and related activities for patients under the supervision of a registered NP, PA, or MD. Performs other duties related to the safe and efficient operation of the Office of Health & Wellness.


Principal Responsibilities:
• Able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to perform standard phlebotomy procedures utilizing universal precautions
• Able to perform manipulative skills such as calibration of equipment and taking blood pressures
• Able to perform tasks which require hand steadiness, such as phlebotomy, taking blood pressures, and calibration of tools and equipment
• Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Able to remain in uncomfortable positions for prolonged periods of time such as bending over tables
• Able to see objects closely as in reading thermometers
• Able to distinguish respiratory sounds such as voice patterns and auscultatory sounds
• Able to concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption
• Needs to attend to task/function for prolonged period as necessary
• Able to remember multiple tasks/assignments given to self and others over long periods of time
• Able to understand and relate to the theories behind several related concepts
• Able to document and communicate with advanced written and verbal skills
• Exposure to blood, body tissues, poisonous substances, dust, chemicals, bodily injuries

High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of CAAHEP approved program with related CMA certification by recognized accrediting agency such as AAMA or AMT. One year work experience, preferably in similar outpatient setting.
