CONTRACT SPECIALIST - Brooklyn, NY - As a key member of our Finance Department, you will utilize your knowledge of facility and/or ancillary contracts to effectively coordinate, negotiate, track and develop Hospital and Ancillary contracts on behalf of the organization. Responsibilities will include: effectively negotiating contracts with providers tracking the status of contracts during the negotiation process developing analytical summaries of upcoming contracts preparing financial analysis of reimbursement proposals for new and existing contracts coordinating the implementation process of new contracts preparing final contracts for provider signature and draft amendments investigating/resolving provider contracting inquiries/complaints maintaining financial grid of hospital rates and business terms monitoring ancillary network growth and recruitment needs handling other related project management duties associated with various contracting initiatives To qualify, you must have a strong working knowledge of managed care concepts and the health care delivery system, a BA/BS (Master's preferred), and possess at least 5 years experience in a managed care or health care delivery system. A minimum of 2 years experience working with contracts will also be expected, as will knowledge of facility and/or ancillary contracts, managed care contracting language and reimbursement methodologies (eg DRGs, APGs & APCs). Superior organizational, analytical, oral/written communication and PC skills are also essential.
